새로운 시대
안목 있는 진짜 인물을 말하다
안목(眼目)이라는 말은 참으로 절묘합니다. 눈 안(眼)자와 눈 목(目)자가 우리 두 눈과 같은 단순한 느낌을 주면서도 사물을 보고 분별하는 견식이라는 깊은 뜻을 가지고 있으니까요. 쉽게 말하면 진짜와 가짜를 구분하고 좋은 것과 안 좋은 것을 구분하는 능력이라는 말이 아닙니까.
우리는 이 단어에 매료되고 말았습니다. 인공지능과 딥페이크 기술 등 진실과 그렇지 않은 것이 혼재하는 이 시대에 안목이라는 단어는 더욱 귀합니다. 사물을 분별하는 견문과 학식은 분명 오랜 시간과 경험을 꼼꼼히 쌓아 올린 인물만이 갖출 테니까 말이지요.
옆집에 살던 언니의 말을 듣고 화장품을 사던 시기가 있었습니다. 이제는 소셜미디어 속 인플루언서들이 옆집 언니의 역할을 대신해주며 높은 안목으로 좋은 것과 그렇지 않은 것을 구분해줍니다. 새로운 시대에 필요한 새로운 안목. 진짜와 가짜를 구분하는 그 식견을 이제 우리는 소셜미디어에서 만납니다.
안목고수는 그러한 안목을 갖춘 고수들을 소개합니다. 그분들이 제안하는 라이프스타일을 찬찬히 정리합니다. 안목 있는 사람들이 안목 있게 평가받고, 재야의 안목고수들이 발견되도록 오늘도 항해를 떠납니다. 모든 분이 평범한 일상에서 경이로움을 발견하는 안목을 찾으시길 바라는 마음에서 말입니다.
